The Chemical Equipment Division, located in Salem, Virginia, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Le Carbone-Lorraine France, with consolidated annual sales of over $300 million. Carbone of America and Le Carbone-Lorraine France have supplied corrosion resistant process and heat transfer equipment and systems, worldwide, for over 50 years. Carbone's trade names include Graphilor ® (impervious graphite) and Armylor ® (seamless PTFE). Carbone has extensive experience in the application of both Graphilor ® and Armylor ® as a material of construction for severely corrosive applications. The Salem, VA facility of Carbone's Chemical Equipment Division, has responsibility for all related activity in North, Central and South America, but works closely with Le Carbone-Lorraine France, which remains the technical center for chemical equipment products, worldwide. In addition to supplying Graphilor ® and Armylor ®, Carbone has extensive experience in the design and evaluation of HCl processes including, Combustion, Recovery and Purification.
